It’s time to #BurnTheTurkey! Well, not literally. We’re talking about burning those turkey calories, since the average American consumes 3,000-4,500 calories and 229 grams of fat on Thanksgiving Day alone.
We’ve teamed up with acclaimed Food Network Chef G. Garvin to create a tongue-in-cheek #BurnTheTurkey recipe collection encouraging folks to squeeze in some extra exercise in the next few weeks to counter those holiday indulgences. Not only will you help yourself and encourage others to exercise, but your participation will help feed families in need and enters you for a chance to win a free one-year Anytime Fitness membership.
Here’s the plan: We want you to create your own #BurnTheTurkey exercises and share them on social media. We pledge to donate $1 to Feeding America for every original pic or video submitted with the hashtag #BurnTheTurkey (up to $25,000).
What impact can just $1 possibly make? A lot! Each dollar provides 11 meals to families in need. That adds up to 275,000 meals! Thanks in advance for helping feed families in need.
Check out the video above for inspiration and then show us how you’re going to #BurnTheTurkey this year!
