Whether school is a factor or not, September is a season of change for most people. Take advantage of this time, when the weather, schedules, and responsibilities shift, to schedule time for you. And don’t write it in pencil! We all have commitments and people who depend on us, but those can’t be completed to the best of our ability (or people fully supported) if we’re not feeling our best. Exercise helps this!
Our fitness calendar is designed to keep track of your activity (in and outside the gym) per day, while establishing some benchmarks so you can see your progress in ways beyond weight. Give yourself some time to see how many squats and push-ups you can do, and how long you can hold a plank. At the end of the month you may be surprised with how much more you can manage! Of course, there are still measurements to consider; inches often disappear before weight. Whatever your progress, don’t forget to celebrate with a healthy reward!
