How to Break Out of Your Shell at Anytime Fitness

So you’ve just joined Anytime Fitness and need to break out of your shell. We thought it might be helpful to get advice from some experts that know a thing or two about breaking out of their shell.

It took some work, but we were able to track down all of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And in the midst of their movie premiere tour, they were able to dish out some advice on how to enhance your workout experience at the gym!


You’re about to embark on a journey that’ll last a lifetime. You, like us, are fighting, and the fight for your health and well-being begins the moment you step through that door at the gym.

Remember this, every great warrior is recognized for the great things that they have done, but only becomes a warrior through daily discipline in life. Just as stealth and subtlety are our strengths, every act of discipline in the gym will be yours. Every extra minute on the treadmill will shape you, and every extra repetition will strengthen you.


I heard stepping through the gym was the hardest part. I say your workout should be the hardest part. Challenge yourself. Go hard or go home. Don’t waste any time talking to all of the people if you don’t have a long time to work out.

And if you’re worried about what others think of you because you’re a beginner, DON’T! Who gives a crap about what other people think. They sure as hell aren’t perfect! They all started as a newbie too. So just get in the gym and get yours! If anyone gives you lip, you let me know.

Look, the most important thing to remember is that everyone is insecure at times. Everyone is dealing with something, and Anytime Fitness is a safe place.

So whether you’re there to lose weight or just stay fit, they will respect and welcome you. You’ll be surprised by how friendly your fellow health-mates can be. Don’t be afraid to ask them what to do.

Also, if you need any help with nutrition, I’m sure that the staff will have advice or writing material to offer. All you have to do is ask. We’re all in this together. This is a safe place. Everyone has a starting point, and they’re in the gym for you if you need them.


DUDE! We have our favorite type of pizza but sometimes we gotta try a new flavor! Make it an effort to try something new next time you’re in the gym or in the kitchen. If you need help with a machine or exercise, ask the staff. They’re around to help.
