What a difference a year can make! If big changes feel impossible, then check out a few of the inspirational success stories from the Anytime Fitness gym in Peoria, Illinois. They sure have learned a lot, and prove the major progress is possible on the scale and at home through dedicated, hard work.
“We have such great members here at the club that I thought it was extremely important to let each one of them know how much Anytime Fitness of Peoria appreciates them,” said Doug Pinter, the owner.
Here’s a sample of the life-changing successes that Doug and his staff celebrated at a party for all of the members last month.
Presented to three members who lost 100 pounds or more
Brianna Fletcher: “My life has changed drastically in the last year, and I achieved goals that I didn’t think were possible. With a combination of food journaling and almost daily walking on the treadmill, I soon saw the number on the scale decreasing. I am thankful for the support of the Anytime Fitness staff, and particularly of my trainer, Patrick Thompson. Not only did I lose weight, but I also transformed my body, becoming healthier and stronger. In June 2015, I hit my 100 pound weight loss goal, and was at a size I hadn’t been in 10 years. I have continued to set goals and achieve them, and with every milestone I become more motivated to be a healthier and stronger person. This last year has been filled with many firsts, and I look forward to what will come in 2016.”
Jamelle Lingel: “I have more energy and just feel better! I have motivation and I use exercise to de-stress and feel good! I can do so much more. Stairs, hiking, biking, you name it, I’m going to give it my best! My confidence is building. Overall, I just want to be healthy and able to encourage others. Weight loss is such a challenge in itself and it is better when we can all encourage and help one another. That’s one of the reasons the Peoria Anytime Fitness facility is great! From Doug, to all the trainers, to great members, we all are there to encourage and help one another! I love it!”
Morgan Skinner: “As a full-time nursing student, my life can be very busy and stressful. Working out at Anytime Fitness has not only enabled me to change my physical appearance, but it has given me the ability to channel any negative energy into something positive. More importantly, I have become healthier beyond the scale. My physical capabilities such as strength and flexibility have improved drastically, while I have also decreased the medications I take daily from eight to just one. I look forward to working out at Anytime Fitness every day, using exercise as a natural stress reliever. I am beyond grateful for the staff and members of Anytime Fitness, encouraging and motivating me to succeed the whole way.”

Samantha Schaab: “In just over a year, I have lost 70 pounds and have obtained an entirely new wardrobe. In December of last year, I ran my first 5K without slowing down to walk. Since then, I have completed at least 10 more 5K races. I used to have hip and back pain and visited the chiropractor two to three times a month. That pain is basically gone and now I only go to the chiropractor once every few months. I think the biggest change, though, is my self-confidence. I have proven to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to. I am stronger, both mentally and physically.”
