Director of Exercise Programming

Shannon Fable, 2013 IDEA and 2006 ACE Instructor of the Year, is the Director of Exercise Programming for the Anytime Fitness franchise. With nearly 20 years in the industry, Fable is an international presenter and education development team member for Schwinn® and BOSU®, a freelance fitness writer, member of the ACE Board of Directors, and has starred in over 25 fitness and management DVDs. Shannon is a certified Book Yourself Solid® Business Coach interested in helping fitness professionals navigate the industry and find their place. Additionally, she owns both Balletone® and GroupEx Pro®.


Luke Andrus
Certified Life Coach

Luke Andrus is certified life coach, writer, folk music drummer, husband, and a father. Most of his writing experience is in poetry and fictional short stories, and he also proposed to his wife with a self-published children’s book. He is a Narnia nerd with a degree in History, a minor in English, and a semi-obsession with the French language. He believes that fitness is not just about vanity, but about lifestyle, integrity, and the ability to take control of your life.

Jane is the friendly voice behind Anytime’s social media accounts. She’s wife to a stud husband and mother of two amazing, relentlessly moving kids. She has an MBA from St. Thomas Opus School of Business, a BA in Marketing from Bethel University, and is a certified personal trainer. An entrepreneur at heart, Jane started a blog, Lou Lou Ingredients, which turned into a food business, and then started consulting and speaking on health and fitness. She enjoys blogging, playing soccer, and chasing her kids. “Life is what you make it. Sweat hard, play hard, and treasure each day!”

Cassie Johnston is an award-winning food writer and recipe developer living and working in Southern Indiana. Her work has been feature in national publications such as Gourmet Magazine and The Huffington Post. Cassie’s a big fan of strenuous hikes, cheese, watching sports, Brussels sprouts, and craft beer, and she’ll talk your ear off about her love of local food and seasonal eating.

Christine works hard every day to educate, motivate, and inspire members at Anytime Fitness Quincy and Beauties That Beast, her blog and social accounts centered around helping women realize their strength and ability to change their lives through fitness. Christine has struggled with her weight most of her life. Her energy and happiness levels plummeted after college, landing her in a depression—which ultimately fueled her weight loss journey. Christine was an Anytime Fitness member before becoming an h2i (hired to inspire) and has now been coaching small groups for over 3 years. She is currently studying to become a NASM certified personal trainer.

Tony Nicholson

Tony has a BA in Communications with an emphasis in Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota, as well as an MBA from Augsburg College. As a self-proclaimed gym rat, he has over 20 years of in-club experience and is an avid runner and triathlete with numerous races under his belt. He has a passion for healthy living that incorporates clean eating as the core of his strategy with intense, calculated workouts, and an active lifestyle rounding out the mix. He embraces all things wearable tech and utilizes many mobile apps and gadgets and is a family man who wants to teach his kids how to fall in love with healthy living and a balanced lifestyle.


Debbie Pias
Health and Fitness Expert

Debbie is a professional geek (i.e. works in the Technology department) at Anytime Fitness. She has a bachelors degree in Dietetics, has been NASM certified in personal training, and specializes in weight loss. She is a realist, doesn’t believe in diets, believes strongly in chocolate, and maintaining a healthy balance in life. She’s an avid lover of music, plays guitar, and sings. She also can’t keep plants alive.


Mason Woodruff
Strength & Nutrition Coach

Mason Woodruff is a strength and nutrition coach, Anytime Fitness area manager, and writer from the great state of Arkansas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). His passion lies in educating others on how to sustainably achieve a healthy life with a strong and functional body they’re confident in. You can usually find Mason lifting heavy things or enjoying the outdoors, and it’s not uncommon for him to eat breakfast three times a day.

Amanda is a designer for Anytime Fitness and loves to create infographics! A deep love for making fitness fun, she tends to focus her content on pop-culture and the impending zombie apocalypse (just kidding).


Bryan Forsing
Certified Personal Trainer & AF Club Owner

Bryan Forsing is an Elite Trainer and Anytime Fitness “Rebel” who owns the Anytime Fitness in Culpeper, Virginia. He is certified as a fitness trainer and specialist in fitness nutrition, senior fitness, and exercise therapy. Food (it’s fuel first!), other members’ success stories, and maintaining the best shape of his life while medication-free keeps him motivated and active every day.

Laura Burstein
Certified Personal Trainer & General Manager/h2i

Laura Burstein dove into the Kinesiology field after 3 years of weight lifting and cheerleading to learn how to work around injuries and genetic musculoskeletal limitations. Over the last 15 years, she has earned certifications through NCSF CPT, NASM CPT, NASM CES, Zumba, and Trigger Point Therapy and has been focusing that knowledge on AF members since 2010—earning her h21 of the Year in 2013! She takes special pride in helping her training team and members overcome lower back and joint pain through core strengthening, functional training, and exercise modification. As a personal challenge, Laura started competing in the Figure division of Body Building shows in 2014.

Ethan Smoorenburg

Ethan Smoorenburg is a 2015 Universe Welterweight Bodybuilding Champion, powerlifter, personal trainer, and writer working as a manager at Anytime Fitness in Lafayette, LA. He discovered his passion for writing at the age of eight when his poem “Spiders Everywhere” was published in his school’s newsletter. He is equal parts Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Scott, combining humor and wellness to create and encourage a balanced lifestyle. Ethan has a degree in English with a minor in Communications and believes that if you want to change the world, you must first be the example of the change you want to see.

Wendi Wheeler
Certified Personal Trainer

Wendi Wheeler is a certified personal trainer working at Anytime Fitness in Grand Forks, ND, and a certifiably crazy runner. She completed her first marathon one week before her 40th birthday and started training for her second just one week later. She’s trained for nine and completed seven marathons, learning a lot about injury and recovery in the process. When she’s not running or working, she’s sewing or watching television shows about aliens or Bigfoot. Wendi holds a degree in communication studies.
