We live in a society that favors fast, easy, and convenient food options, yet it never seems easy to eat healthy on the go. Take the convenience store for example. Are you going to find anything besides temptation on the shelves?

The truth is that healthier options are often available at convenience stores – you just have to know where to look.

With all the temptations at our fingertips, we sure could use a map to steer us in the right eating direction. The good news is there’s increasing emphasis on fresh, quality foods in convenience stores and gas stations. Skillfully navigate with these healthy snack directions.

Directions:

  1. Water or Milk NOT Soda
  2. Nuts NOT Chips
  3. Granola or Energy Bars NOT Muffins or Pastries
  4. Low-Fat Yogurt or Strong Cheese NOT Ice Cream
  5. Whole or Dried Fruit NOT Candy
  6. Hard Boiled Eggs NOT Hot Dogs or Other Processed Meats
