Workout: Channel Your Inner Jennifer Lawrence

If you’re like me, you’ve probably heard plenty about America’s newest sweetheart, Jennifer Lawrence. If not, then all I have to do is mention Katniss from Hunger Games or Tiffany from Silver Linings Playbook you’d say, “Oh yes, I have heard of her.”

But she’s more than just the celebrity of the moment — she’s also a great fitness role model.

Despite her self-professed hatred of diet and exercise, a high level of fitness is required for her physically-demanding roles. Lawrence stays in shape to stay on top of her game.

If you’re just not feeling it at the gym this week, remember why you joined in the first place. Now challenge yourself to get back on track! Channel your inner J-Law and give this workout a try. You’ll be scheduling dance lessons or hitting the archery range in no time!

Workout: Channel Your Inner Jennifer Lawrence

Equipment needed:

  • TRX
  • BOSU
  • Dumbbells (2- you choose weight)
  • Floor Space

Warm up – Treadmill, elliptical, or jump rope for 5 minutes

Exercises
Do each exercise for 45 seconds with a 30 second break.

Cool Down: 5 Minutes Stretching

Total Running Time: 20 minutes

For a more advanced workout, shorten the rest time between each exercise. Want to get an extra burn? Add a second or third round! Each round added equates to roughly 10 extra minutes, so plan accordingly!
