Over the past couple of months I’ve fallen in love with fast, intense workouts. These workouts are some of the most humbling, challenging workouts I’ve ever done. I work harder in a 10 minute workout, than I spent in the 30-40 minute workouts I was doing previously. This workout is perfect for when you are traveling or just training at your local AF.
There are two kinds of intense workouts (in my book):
- Rounds for Time. You’re given a list of exercises to do and a certain number of times you have to go through the list. You race against the clock and as soon as you finish the required exercises, you’re done.
- AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible). You’re given a list of exercises and a set amount of time. The clock counts down and you do get through that list of exercises as many times as you can in the allotted amount of time.
They are both hard.
Many of these moves can be done by people at various fitness levels, and the ones that can’t can be scaled back to make them easier!
I thought I’d share a fun little workout for all of you guys to try!
Video demonstrations for the above exercises:
If you don’t have a box, you could use a step, bench, or stairs. If you can’t do box jumps, you could simply step up onto a box instead of jumping. If you want to make it harder, jump onto a higher box!
